Menlo Ventures and Anthropic have teamed up to introduce the Anthology Fund, a startup accelerator with a $100 million investment aimed at speeding up the development of generative AI technologies. The Anthology Fund is designed to support startups that are creating innovative AI products and services. Daniela Amodei, co-founder and President of Anthropic, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration in a blog post, highlighting their goal to boost ventures that use AI to improve human abilities and efficiency across various sectors, including healthcare, legal services, education, energy, infrastructure, and scientific research.
Menlo Ventures, in its own blog post, detailed the fund’s focus on five main areas: infrastructure, frontier applications, consumer AI solutions, trust and safety, and technology aimed at maximizing social benefits. Startups that qualify for the fund will gain access to Anthropic’s AI tools, Menlo Ventures’ partner and networking support, and a structured support program designed to foster growth and innovation.

Recently, Menlo Ventures participated in a $300 million Series A funding round for Skild AI, a Carnegie Mellon spinout. This round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Coatue, SoftBank Group, and Jeff Bezos through Bezos Expeditions, highlighting Menlo’s continuous commitment to advancing AI technology.
