Bioniq has just dropped the first of three major updates, and it’s packed with exciting new features designed to elevate the experience for Ordinal enthusiasts. From rarity rankings to batch actions, dynamic games, and more, this release brings fresh functionality and fun to the platform.
A standout addition is the new rarity system, which is bound to excite collectors and traders alike. Now, collections with trait data automatically get rarity calculations, using Open Rarity as the calculation method. This open-source, widely supported system is not only mathematically accurate but also allows for consistent cross-chain use. The new rarity implementation includes three main components: Rarity Rank, Rarity Percentage, and Normalized Rarity Score.
Rarity Rank allows users to see where their Ordinal stands in relation to others in the collection, with 1 being the rarest. The Rarity Percentage is a percentile rank, meaning the higher the percentage, the rarer the Ordinal is. The Normalized Rarity Score, meanwhile, makes it possible to compare the rarity of Ordinals across different collections. With this update, collectors now have a more structured and comprehensive way to evaluate their assets.
Alongside rarity, offers can now be made and cancelled at will, providing even more flexibility for users. A new feature allows you to track all offers sent and received under the “Offers Sent” and “Offers Received” tabs on the My Inscriptions page, ensuring a seamless experience when managing trades.
Bioniq has also introduced a revamped filter experience on both the Collection and My Inscriptions pages. With the ability to toggle between Traits, Info, and Stats, users can now filter their results in a more dynamic way. Trait filters display static categories sorted by rarity, Info includes various data points such as rarity rank, status, and price, while Stats, which are updated in real time, provide dynamic information for collections like Motoko Sentinels and op_kitten.
For users looking for even more granular details, the Ordinal detail page now includes a section dedicated to rarity, traits, and additional information such as floor price and floor delta. This makes it easier than ever to keep track of your Ordinals and evaluate their market value.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Enter Blitz mode—a new Pro Trader mode that allows users to perform multiple actions simultaneously. Whether it’s sweeping the floor, buying multiple Ordinals at once, or batch listing and sending assets, Blitz mode is designed to make trading and managing your collection faster and more efficient.
And let’s not forget about the latest dynamic game update for the OP_CAT derivative collection, op_kittens. If you’ve noticed some of your kittens didn’t make it through BIP land, now’s your chance to ascend them into Rainbow kittens! If you’re successful, your kitten will evolve into a rare Rainbow kitten, forever immortalised. But be warned, failure means your kitten will be permanently burned, adding an extra layer of excitement to this unique feature.
But perhaps the most exciting new addition is the Game mode for Ordinals. Accessible via the Motoko Sentinels collection, this new mode lets users play games with dynamic Ordinals, setting the stage for the third major release Bioniq has in the works. This promises to add an entirely new dimension to how users interact with Ordinals on the platform.
As Bioniq continues to innovate, these new features are just the beginning. With two more major updates on the way, users can look forward to even more enhancements that will take the platform to new heights.
