Botathon Bonanza: OpenChat Invites Devs to Innovate with $50K Up for Grabs

OpenChat has announced the launch of its Botathon, a community-driven hackathon inviting developers to create bots that enhance on-chain community interactions. With a prize pool of $50,000, participants can submit their bots across five categories: Fun & Entertainment, Social & Community, Dex & Trading, Utility & Productivity, and AI Agents. The event is open to developers of all levels, whether working solo or in teams, with or without prior ideas. Participants are encouraged to engage with the Botathon community, explore available documentation, and start building their bots.

The Botathon is scheduled to take place in March 2025. This initiative reflects a broader trend in the tech industry towards autonomous AI, with 2025 anticipated to be a pivotal year for agentic AI developments.

OpenChat’s Botathon offers a platform for developers to showcase their skills and contribute to the evolving landscape of on-chain communities. By participating, developers have the opportunity to innovate and potentially shape the future of decentralised interactions.
