Caffeine introduces three cloud options for app deployment

By Maria Irene · 7 Nov 2026

Caffeine has introduced three cloud deployment options for developers building applications on its platform, allowing users to choose between the Internet Computer (IC) Mainnet, European Cloud and Encrypted Cloud.

The three options are available at the same cost, with the choice depending on an application’s performance, data location and security requirements.

IC Mainnet remains the default option and is recommended for most applications. According to Caffeine, it offers the highest reliability and capacity among the three choices.

European Cloud is designed for applications that need to keep their computing operations and file storage within Europe. The option allows developers to maintain both workloads and stored files in the region.

Encrypted Cloud is aimed at applications handling sensitive information. It uses machines that keep application memory encrypted while the software is running, providing an additional layer of protection for data being processed.

Developers can select their preferred cloud through the button in the Caffeine composer. The selection can also be changed through project settings at any time before an application goes live.

The addition gives developers greater control over where their applications run and how their data is handled, with options catering to different operational and security needs.
