Caffeine says new app creation time has fallen to seven minutes

By Maria Irene · 6 Nov 2026

AI app-building platform Caffeine says its latest changes have reduced the average time needed to create a new app from nearly 18 minutes to about seven minutes.

The company reported a 59 per cent reduction after testing a revised set of building steps against its previous process over a three-week period.

Users can continue to describe the app they want in natural language, with the platform handling the development process. The updated workflow is intended to help users get a working app sooner without requiring them to change how they communicate their ideas.

Caffeine has also released a tutorial showing users how to build an app from a template in its App Market through to publishing a live website on their own domain.

The walkthrough, led by Elias, includes connecting Google Calendar and making changes to the live app by describing the required updates.

The tutorial is aimed at people building their first app as well as existing users looking for ideas and guidance on using the platform.

Caffeine is also offering a one-month trial of paid features through the promotional code HALLOWEEN26. The offer is available to people without an active subscription and runs until 30 November 2026.

While the reported reduction in build time may make the process quicker for users, the 59 per cent figure comes from the company’s own three-week test. The announcement does not provide details about the apps used in the comparison or whether the results apply across different types of projects.
