CLOAD Releases Whitepaper Outlining Technical Design, Governance Plans and Token Model

CLOAD has published its whitepaper, detailing the platform’s technical framework, tokenomics and plans for decentralised governance through an SNS DAO. The document sets out how the Web3 platform, owned and managed by its community, will transition control to a DAO following a decentralised fundraising event.

Under the model, the DAO will hold two main treasuries: one in ICP, sourced from the decentralised sale, and another in CLOAD tokens. These reserves will be used for liquidity, operational costs, developer incentives, ecosystem growth and liquidity support. Community members will decide on fund usage through proposal voting, while third-party security audits will be carried out to protect the platform and user assets.

The native CLOAD token will underpin governance, incentives and value exchange on the platform. An initial supply of one billion tokens is set, though the DAO may approve changes for ecosystem expansion or strategic partnerships. Token burning may also be proposed to manage supply.

Revenue will come from storage and feature fees, transaction charges and ICP staking rewards, while early expenditure will focus on storage costs and core development. The whitepaper positions the governance framework as central to CLOAD’s long-term stability and growth.
