Dawn of Machines reaches first DOM halving after six months

Dawn of Machines has reached its first token halving, with the project moving into its second 182-day emission period after more than six months of daily DOM distributions.

The milestone was reached on 26 September 2026, when Epoch 1 was completed after 182 daily emissions. The staking canister then moved the project into Epoch 2, reducing the daily DOM emission from about 2,747 tokens to about 1,373.

Epoch 1 distributed 500,000 DOM, while Epoch 2 is scheduled to release 250,000 DOM over its own 182-day period. The reduction follows the token emission schedule established when the project launched.

According to the project, the change is triggered by the number of distributions rather than a calendar date. The completion of the 182nd daily emission automatically moves the system into the next epoch.

Dawn of Machines says DOM has no team allocation or pre-mine, with tokens distributed through staking. The project describes the halving mechanism as part of its fixed emission schedule, with five further epochs planned after Epoch 2.

The remaining schedule will continue reducing the amount of DOM released in each successive epoch, with the final stage currently expected to run towards December 2029.

The first halving marks the completion of the project’s opening emission period and provides an early demonstration of how its programmed token distribution operates as designed.
