Dominic Williams previews Open SaaS services coming with ICP Cloud Engines

Internet Computer founder Dominic Williams has shared a preview of Open SaaS, a collection of onchain enterprise services expected to launch alongside ICP Cloud Engines.

The upcoming suite is designed to provide businesses with a range of decentralised applications, including tools for customer relationship management, file storage, email, human resources and accounting. The services are being positioned as AI-native, open source and designed to be easily configured and adapted by users.

Williams said the applications will be available as Open SaaS packs, allowing users to set up and use enterprise tools without the traditional complexity often associated with deploying business software.

ICP Cloud Engines are intended to allow users to create sovereign cloud environments on the Internet Computer network by selecting infrastructure options such as nodes, locations and providers. The approach aims to give organisations greater control over where and how their applications operate, while reducing reliance on traditional cloud providers.

The preview images shared by Williams feature mock product packages for the upcoming Alware applications, highlighting features such as AI integration, flexible functionality and open-source development.

The launch is part of a wider push within the Internet Computer ecosystem to bring business applications onto decentralised infrastructure, offering alternatives for organisations looking to build and run services onchain.

Open SaaS services are expected to become available with the release of ICP Cloud Engines, with further details on features, availability and deployment options to be announced.
