DVINITY DAO enters beta with public NNS neuron

The DVINITY DAO has entered beta, with its public NNS neuron now live and plans to fund it with 1,500 ICP as the project moves towards community participation in Internet Computer governance.

The announcement said DVINITY stakers can already take part in governance and vote on NNS proposals. The initiative is being presented as part of the project’s “Building the Battery” model, which links community participation with a longer-term governance and treasury structure.

The Network Nervous System (NNS) is the on-chain governance system for the Internet Computer. Participants can stake ICP in neurons, which can then be used to vote on proposals and earn rewards. Voting power is influenced by factors including the amount of ICP staked and the neuron’s dissolve delay and age.

The proposed 1,500 ICP funding is connected to a separate “Protocol Battery” tokenomics proposal discussed by the DVINITY community. That proposal outlines a canister-controlled NNS neuron intended to generate rewards that could be directed towards several uses, including compounding the stake, purchasing cycles and DVINITY buybacks.

However, the proposal remains subject to governance discussion, and the 1,500 ICP figure should not be treated as confirmation that the funds have already been deposited. The proposal describes the amount as initial seed capital, while its suggested reward rate and allocation percentages are presented as part of the proposed model.

The beta launch therefore marks the opening of the governance component rather than the completion of the wider treasury model. Further details about the funding process, neuron configuration and how the proposed Battery model will operate are expected as the initiative develops.

For DVINITY stakers, the immediate change is the ability to participate in NNS governance and have a direct role in voting on proposals affecting the network.
