Dvinity DAO opens vote on treasury participation in Menese SNS launch
Dvinity DAO has opened Proposal 19, giving its stakers the opportunity to vote on whether treasury ICP should be used to participate in the Menese Protocol SNS launch on the Internet Computer.
The proposal marks a move towards direct participation by one ICP-based DAO in the governance launch of another ecosystem project. According to Dvinity’s announcement, any resulting SNS neurons would be owned and controlled by the Dvinity DAO.
The proposed arrangement would allow Dvinity’s treasury to participate in the Menese SNS process rather than relying on individual stakers to make separate contributions.
Menese Protocol has been moving towards decentralised governance through the Internet Computer’s Service Nervous System framework. An SNS is designed to transfer control of an application to a community-governed DAO, with token holders able to vote on software upgrades, treasury activity and other governance matters.
The Menese SNS proposal was approved through the Internet Computer’s Network Nervous System earlier this month, with the proposal subsequently executed on September 20. The proposal covers four production canisters associated with Menese’s multichain infrastructure.
Menese describes its platform as a multichain operating system and a cross-chain execution engine built around ICP’s chain-key cryptography. Its published proposal states that the system is designed to support financial applications across multiple networks without traditional bridges or corporate custody.
Under the SNS model, ICP contributed through a successful decentralisation swap becomes part of the SNS treasury, while participants receive SNS governance tokens in the form of staked neurons. Governance of the resulting DAO is then carried out through on-chain proposals and voting.
For Dvinity, Proposal 19 puts the question of treasury participation directly before its stakers. The announcement describes the arrangement as “DAO to DAO”, highlighting the potential for an existing ICP community treasury to participate in another project’s decentralisation process.
The proposal remains subject to the Dvinity DAO’s voting process. Its outcome will determine whether Dvinity uses treasury ICP for participation in the Menese SNS launch.
The development comes as SNS-based governance continues to expand across the Internet Computer ecosystem, providing a framework through which applications can move from developer-controlled infrastructure towards community governance.
