ShapeShift has launched FOX Wif Hat (FWH), a new memecoin on the Base network that offers more than just speculative hype. This token, introduced on February 12, 2025, comes with actual trading perks, giving holders discounts on the ShapeShift platform.Users who hold at least 10,000 FWH tokens will initially enjoy a 100% discount on trading fees. However, this benefit isn’t permanent. The discount gradually reduces over 90 days, eventually reaching zero by May 4, 2025. More than 31,000 crypto wallets are eligible to claim at least 10,000 FWH tokens, widening access to this utility-driven memecoin.
The launch was followed by an X Spaces event on February 13, where ShapeShift’s team outlined the vision behind the token, its tokenomics, and future roadmap.
