ICPay says more than 18 tokens have now been issued through its platform, with token creators able to refuel their token canisters directly through ICPay.
The Internet Computer-based platform is also highlighting its native token swap functionality, which allows users to exchange ICP, ckBTC and ICRC assets directly from their balances without being redirected to an external browser.
ICPay says its swap system uses native liquidity pools and is designed to provide direct token exchanges with minimal slippage. The service is available through its web application.
The platform is also outlining how its approach to custody differs from conventional Web2 systems. According to ICPay, user balances are held in isolated ledger subaccounts governed by canister code, with balance changes requiring verified on-chain ledger transfers.
The company describes this model as providing a way for users to verify changes to balances through on-chain state rather than relying on an opaque database.
ICPay’s latest update comes as the platform continues to add token support and expand its services within the Internet Computer ecosystem. It has credited its community for helping promote the platform as it grows.
While on-chain custody can provide greater visibility into transactions and account state, users still need to consider the underlying smart-contract code, security practices and risks associated with digital assets when using such platforms.
