ICPay has launched ICPay Professional, an updated version of its wallet platform designed to provide a cleaner interface, faster file uploads and additional tools for managing assets on the Internet Computer.
The release from @IcpayOfficial highlights changes to the platform’s user interface and user experience, alongside faster bucket uploads for on-chain storage. The update is available through icpay.app.
An accompanying demonstration shows the revised dashboard, including quick file uploads to encrypted storage buckets, token balances covering ICP and other assets, and an integrated swap interface for on-chain trading.
ICPay describes itself as an open-source custodial wallet that allows users to send ICP through usernames rather than relying on lengthy wallet addresses. The platform also includes community channels and on-chain file storage.
The Professional release comes as wallets and application platforms on the Internet Computer continue to expand beyond basic token transfers, incorporating storage, trading and other services into a single interface. For users, that can reduce the need to move between separate applications, although the convenience of an integrated platform also makes security, custody and the handling of user assets important considerations.
As a custodial wallet, ICPay differs from non-custodial services where users generally retain direct control of their private keys or recovery credentials. Users considering the platform will therefore need to assess its custody model alongside its features and interface.
ICPay Professional is now live, with the company positioning the update around a simpler workflow for managing ICP, assets and on-chain storage from one dashboard.
