Jakarta State Polytechnic hosted over fifty students at ITechno Cup 2025, offering them a demonstration and seminar focused on what app building could look like ahead. The event, under the Informatics Technologies and Computer Cup banner, featured Caffeine, a tool that introduces fresh possibilities for app development.
During the seminar part, students saw how Caffeine works in real time, exploring its features, constraints and potential roles in future software projects. Some expressed excitement over how the tool could reduce repetitive tasks and allow them to focus more on creative design. Others pointed out the learning curve, especially for those new to app development.

In informal discussions, themes emerged: accessibility, support and practice. Students felt that engaging with tools like Caffeine early helps bridge the gap between formal education and real-world workflows. Some staff suggested that such events could be more valuable if followed by hands-on workshops so students can apply what they’ve seen.
The ITechno Cup setup allowed students not only to see what’s coming but to question, critique and imagine improvements. For many, this gave confidence that they can contribute to app development innovation, not just learn from it.
Balanced reporting here means recognising both promise and challenge. Caffeine drew positive feedback for its features and its capacity to support learners. At the same time, limitations such as documentation, peer support, and resource availability were flagged as areas for further work.
Overall, the event showed that with proper guidance and access, students are ready to explore tools that may shape the future of app building.
