New data from Phoenix Group and LunarCrush shows ICP ranking third among the most active DePIN (Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Network) projects by social activity, with over 6,800 engaged posts and 3.2 million interactions in the past 24 hours. TAO came in second with 7,800 engaged posts but fewer total interactions, while Chainlink (LINK) held the top spot with more than 11 million.
The surge in ICP’s engagement reflects growing community traction around the Internet Computer’s evolving technology stack — including its push into AI integration, self-writing apps, and decentralised cloud engines. With developers and investors paying closer attention to its real-world infrastructure capabilities, social momentum appears to be catching up with its technical ambitions.
TAO, which has dominated DePIN conversations for much of the year, now faces renewed competition from ICP’s rising ecosystem narrative. The data suggests a shift in community sentiment, with users increasingly discussing projects that merge blockchain, AI, and decentralised compute — a space the Internet Computer has been actively defining.
