Internet Computer integrates Solana through native SOL support

Solana has been integrated into the Internet Computer (ICP), allowing applications on the network to interact directly with Solana, according to an announcement promoting the integration.

The update introduces ckSOL, a token designed to be backed one-to-one by SOL, Solana’s native cryptocurrency. The announcement says the integration will allow ICP-based applications to read data from and write to Solana without relying on a conventional blockchain bridge.
