Keygate Develops Multichain Liquidity Protocol on ICP

Keygate has announced it is building a multichain liquidity protocol designed to help projects on the Internet Computer Protocol connect with funding and resources across other blockchains. The idea is to make it easier for developers building on ICP to tap into liquidity that already exists elsewhere rather than being confined to one ecosystem.

According to the team, the protocol aims to give projects access to more than 300 million in liquidity and the ability to accept payments in over ten different currencies with only a small amount of code. This approach is being presented as a way to lower technical barriers while expanding the potential reach of ICP-based applications.

Supporters argue that such a system could strengthen the position of ICP within the wider Web3 environment, encouraging cross-chain collaboration at a time when interoperability is becoming a recurring theme across crypto development. Critics, however, note that bridging liquidity between blockchains often introduces risks around security, cost and complexity. How Keygate addresses those concerns may be central to its adoption.

For now, the project remains at an early stage, with the team encouraging those interested to follow their progress through official channels. The wider community will be watching closely to see whether the protocol can deliver on its ambition of giving ICP projects a practical and efficient route to external liquidity.

Dear Reader,

Ledger Life is an independent platform dedicated to covering the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem and beyond. We focus on real stories, builder updates, project launches, and the quiet innovations that often get missed.

We’re not backed by sponsors. We rely on readers like you.

If you find value in what we publish—whether it’s deep dives into dApps, explainers on decentralised tech, or just keeping track of what’s moving in Web3—please consider making a donation. It helps us cover costs, stay consistent, and remain truly independent.

Your support goes a long way.
