Kristofer has unveiled a new multiuser SUI wallet built on the Internet Computer (ICP), offering users a secure and convenient way to manage Sui tokens. The wallet, completed in just eight hours, experienced a brief delay due to a signature format misunderstanding.
The wallet enables users to generate a Sui address by logging in with their Internet Identity, check their account balance, sign transactions, and send tokens to others. All public keys are retrieved from a backend canister during login and cached for the session, while balances and transaction histories are queried directly from the Sui blockchain via the Sui RPC API. Transaction signing is handled securely through the derived private key on the backend.
Kristofer advises developers to consider update call costs when interacting with canisters, noting that each transaction typically takes two to three seconds to complete. The wallet is currently live on the Sui testnet and accessible for trial at this link.
Developers interested in experimenting with the wallet can set up their Internet Computer environment, deploy the project using standard Dfinity tools, and run the frontend with hot reloading via Vite. Detailed instructions are available in the Internet Computer developer documentation.
