Liquidium Puts Simple Bitcoin-Backed Loans Within Reach Without a Wallet Connection

Liquidium is making its borrowing process more straightforward with Simple Loans, an address-based lending option that allows users to create a loan without signing in or connecting a wallet.
The process starts with choosing how much to borrow and selecting the collateral and loan-to-value ratio. Users then review the terms, generate a loan receipt and send the required collateral to the deposit address provided by Liquidium. Once the collateral is confirmed and the loan opens, the borrowed funds are sent to the nominated destination address.
The account-free approach is designed to separate the loan itself from the wallet or account used to fund it. Users can send collateral from a compatible wallet, exchange account or hardware-wallet setup without connecting that account directly to Liquidium. Signing in with Internet Identity or a supported wallet remains optional for those who want profile features such as saved addresses and access to loans across devices.
Each Simple Loan receives a six-character Loan ID, along with dedicated supply, repayment, refund and destination addresses. Liquidium recommends saving the receipt and Loan ID before funding the loan, particularly because signed-out loan information is stored in the current browser.
The borrowing flow still comes with costs and risks. Liquidium currently applies a 0.5 per cent activation fee to the borrowed principal, which is added to the debt, while network fees are separate. Borrowing rates, available liquidity and collateral requirements can change, so users need to check the live terms before sending funds.
For borrowers using Bitcoin as collateral, the model provides access to liquidity without requiring the BTC to be sold upfront. However, the loan remains overcollateralised, and a fall in the value of the collateral can increase the loan-to-value ratio and expose the position to liquidation risk.
Liquidium says Simple Loans are intended to offer a faster route for borrowers who want a single dedicated loan rather than the portfolio-based features available through its Advanced experience. Advanced requires sign-in and is designed for managing supplied assets, borrowing, repayments and withdrawals through a portfolio.
The simpler process removes the need to connect a wallet to begin a loan, while leaving borrowers responsible for checking the asset, network, addresses, interest rate, collateral requirements and repayment conditions before committing funds.
