Liquidium surpasses $3 million in total borrowing

Liquidium has surpassed $3 million in cumulative borrowing, with more than $1 million recorded through the platform in the past 30 days.

The milestone covers lending activity involving Bitcoin, Ethereum, ICP, USDC and USDT, giving users access to different assets through the same platform.

Liquidium allows users to borrow against eligible digital assets, providing access to liquidity without requiring them to sell the underlying holdings. The model is based on using crypto assets as collateral, with lending terms depending on the individual market and transaction.

The latest figures show that borrowing activity has accelerated in recent weeks, with the $1 million recorded over 30 days accounting for more than a third of the platform’s total borrowing to date.

For borrowers, crypto-backed lending can provide an alternative to selling assets when funds are needed. However, as with other forms of collateralised crypto lending, borrowers remain exposed to the terms of the loan and the value of the collateral, including potential risks if asset prices fall.

Liquidium’s latest milestone comes as crypto lending platforms continue to develop products that allow users to access liquidity across multiple digital assets.

The platform said its markets currently support BTC, ETH, ICP, USDC and USDT, bringing several commonly traded digital assets into one borrowing environment.
