Menese introduces fixed-supply staking system for DAO rewards

Menese has introduced a staking system for its DAO designed to distribute rewards from an existing token pool rather than creating new tokens.
According to Menese, the project has a fixed supply of 100 million MENES, meaning no additional tokens will be minted for staking rewards. The new system instead uses a 7 million MENES staking pool included in the project’s tokenomics.
The system allows users to lock their MENES in a neuron, with longer lock periods increasing their share of rewards. Menese says the maximum multiplier is four times for a four-year lock.
The rewards are divided between locked neurons and participating voters. Ninety per cent of the rewards are allocated across all locked neurons, while the remaining 10 per cent goes to neurons that vote, with voting following taken into account.
Rewards are returned to the user’s neuron, meaning the staked tokens remain within the neuron rather than being transferred elsewhere, according to the project.
Menese says the model is designed around three core actions: locking tokens, voting and earning rewards, while keeping the total MENES supply capped at 100 million.
