Menese launches private ICP payments, with Bitcoin and USDC planned

By Maria Irene · 28 Oct 2026

Menese has launched a private payment feature for Internet Computer (ICP), allowing users to send ICP without making the payment details publicly traceable through the usual blockchain address history, according to the project.

The feature, called Private ICP, is now live. Menese says it is designed to address a privacy issue associated with public blockchain transactions, where wallet addresses can be used to view transaction histories and balances.

In an example shared by the project, a transfer of 60 ICP could allow someone with access to the relevant address to inspect its activity and balance. Menese says payments sent through its Private feature are kept off the public record, preventing others from following the payment through publicly visible address data.

The launch is part of Menese’s wider effort to develop privacy-focused cryptocurrency payment tools. The project says support for Bitcoin (BTC) and USD Coin (USDC) is planned, although it has not provided a launch date for either asset.

Menese is also inviting businesses to integrate private checkout and treasury functions through its Privacy SDK, with the code available on GitHub.
