Mingle Chat Opens Beta Testing for Sovereign Cloud Messenger Built on ICP

Mingle Chat has opened beta testing for its new messaging platform, designed as a privacy-focused messenger running on the sovereign cloud.

The application aims to provide a familiar chat experience while introducing features such as end-to-end encryption (E2EE), Double Ratchet security, forward secrecy, post-quantum handshake technology, safety numbers and verifiable on-chain code.

The team said Mingle Chat is still in its early testing phase, with the project’s key remaining under its control and an independent audit yet to be completed. Users are invited to try the platform, share feedback and help shape future updates.

To access Mingle Chat, users can open the application through the provided link, add it to their home screen and log in using Internet Identity. They can then join the Mingle Chat Community to provide feedback and suggest new features.

Recent updates have added more functionality, including push notifications, online status visibility and the option to stay logged in. The platform has also introduced verification checkmarks for community and profile accounts, with further details on the verification process expected in future updates.

Mingle Chat is being developed within the Internet Computer ecosystem, where projects are exploring decentralised alternatives for everyday applications. The beta release gives users an opportunity to test the service, report issues and contribute suggestions as development continues.

Dear Reader,

Ledger Life is an independent platform dedicated to covering the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem and beyond. We focus on real stories, builder updates, project launches, and the quiet innovations that often get missed.

We’re not backed by sponsors. We rely on readers like you.

If you find value in what we publish—whether it’s deep dives into dApps, explainers on decentralised tech, or just keeping track of what’s moving in Web3—please consider making a donation. It helps us cover costs, stay consistent, and remain truly independent.

Your support goes a long way.
