My Neighbor Alice is a multiplayer blockchain-based game where you can build your own virtual island, make new friends, interact with neighbours and earn rewards. You can buy in-game assets in addition to your island, which correspond to unique non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

How My Neighbor Alice NFTs are used
In the game, players can purchase virtual plots of land from Alice, with each piece of land represented by NFTs.
The game also has collectibles such as houses, vegetables, pets and decorations that players can use to customise their land. These collectibles also correspond to NFTs.
These can be traded through the in-game marketplace and also on NFT marketplaces on other blockchains.
ALICE native utility tokens go live
The main in-game currency of My Neighbor Alice is the ALICE token. Players can use ALICE tokens in various ways, including to:

- Participate in governance and vote on proposals.
- Stake – e.g. earn a percentage of revenues.
- Earn rewards by completing quests.
- The ALICE token went live on March 15 this year when it was listed on the Binance currency exchange. This means the game now provides an additional avenue for making money on top of NFT trading.
According to various reports, the ALICE tokenskyrocketed very quickly after being listed but fell again shortly afterwards.
Is the ALICE token one to watch?
Some commentators are not so sure, as the ALICE token hasn’t got much in the way of real-life application. In that sense, it differs from various other types of altcoins that offer real-world utility.
