Native ICP Wallet Connect Goes Live on Liquidium

Liquidium has announced the launch of native ICP Wallet Connect, giving Internet Computer users a direct way to connect their wallets to the lending platform without manually entering deposit addresses.

The update allows users to connect a compatible ICP wallet, link accounts and supply ICP through the platform’s interface. The change is intended to simplify the process for users who want to use ICP within Liquidium’s lending and liquidity services.

Liquidium has been expanding its support for ICP throughout 2026. In June, the platform added ICP as collateral, allowing users to supply ICP and borrow supported assets while retaining their ICP exposure. Liquidium says its cross-chain lending infrastructure uses ICP’s Chain Fusion technology to work with native assets across networks.

The new wallet connection comes as Liquidium continues to develop its ICP-related user experience. Its documentation currently describes native ICP deposits as being handled through an ICP account or ICRC-1 address, while its broader wallet connection system supports WalletConnect and other wallet options.

The distinction is important because Liquidium’s existing wallet infrastructure has supported connected wallets for authentication and account management, while native ICP deposits have traditionally involved sending funds to an address supplied by the platform. The new announcement indicates that users will have a more direct connection option for ICP.

Liquidium has also been building integrations around the ICP wallet experience. In July, the platform announced an integration with OISY Wallet, allowing users to access Liquidium’s lending services through the wallet. At launch, however, Liquidium noted that ICP borrowing and lending were not yet available directly inside OISY.

For users, the latest change could reduce some of the manual steps involved in moving ICP into Liquidium. Instead of copying and entering a deposit address, the stated process is to connect a wallet, link the relevant account and supply ICP through the platform.

Users should still check the asset, network and destination details displayed by Liquidium before confirming a transaction. The platform’s documentation warns that address formats and transaction routes can vary depending on the asset and operation.

Liquidium’s current ICP offering includes supplying ICP as collateral, with borrowing terms, rates, liquidity and other conditions subject to the platform’s live markets. As with other lending platforms, users need to consider factors such as variable rates, collateral requirements and liquidation risk before opening a position.

The wallet connection update therefore addresses a practical part of the user experience rather than changing the underlying lending model. For ICP users already using Liquidium, it provides a simpler route into the platform, while the broader development reflects the company’s push to make native ICP assets easier to use within cross-chain lending services.
