A new mobile-first platform is bringing the ICP community closer together. Built by @Markus_B30 using Caffeine AI, the network allows users to connect, share content, and engage with their local community entirely on-chain through the $ICP blockchain. The project responds to a long-discussed idea from @dominic_w of a hyperlocal network for ICP users, now realised in a practical format.
The app guides users through a simple setup: create an account via Internet Identity, select a country from the ICP hub list, and choose a username. From there, users can join a community feed showing posts from their country, switch to a global feed with a tap, and share content ranging from ideas and knowledge to memes. Each post allows one vote per user, with a threshold in place to automatically remove content with excessive downvotes. Upvotes and downvotes earn ICCP (Internet Computer Community Points), giving tangible recognition for engagement.
Hubs form the core of the platform, providing a space for events, updates, and news relevant to each country. Users can easily switch between local and global hub views, and there are plans to enable API-driven post creation in the future. A dedicated Dfinity feed ensures that users stay informed about official ICP news.
Future updates are planned depending on user feedback, including notifications, safe contact sharing, user ranks, polls, improved filters, multi-language support, more countries, desktop optimisation, and tokenisation features to provide practical utility.
The platform is live and accessible here, offering ICP community members a mobile-friendly space to interact, collaborate, and build connections both locally and globally.
