OISY 2.6 adds XRP, Robinhood assets and cycles support

By Maria Irene · 2 Oct 2026

OISY has released version 2.6 of its wallet, adding support for native XRP, Robinhood assets and a new way to hold Internet Computer compute resources, alongside a tipping feature designed for sending digital rewards through links or QR codes.

The latest release expands the range of assets available through OISY, which describes itself as a wallet for crypto, stocks, commodities, collectibles and other digital assets.

For XRP users, OISY 2.6 introduces the ability to hold, send and swap native XRP directly within the wallet. The update also brings Robinhood assets into the same interface, including a curated selection of tokenised stocks, according to OISY.

The release adds support for holding cycles, the unit used to pay for computation on the Internet Computer. Users can convert ICP into TCYCLES directly through OISY, allowing cycles to be held within the wallet alongside other supported assets.

Cycles are used to pay for computation and storage by applications running on the Internet Computer. This gives developers and applications a way to cover network resource consumption without directly using ICP for each computational operation.

OISY 2.6 also introduces OISY Tips, a feature aimed at making small digital payments easier to send and receive. Users can create a tip, choose an amount and share it through a link or QR code.

Recipients do not need to already have a crypto wallet to receive a tip, according to OISY. The recipient can claim the funds later, while the unclaimed amount remains in the sender’s wallet.

The feature could be used for a range of everyday interactions, including thanking creators, developers, service workers or others who have provided assistance.

The release comes as OISY continues to develop a wallet designed to bring multiple asset types and blockchain networks into a single interface. Its current platform promotes features for holding, trading and managing different digital assets, with Internet Identity used for wallet access.

OISY’s expansion also comes amid wider discussion within the Internet Computer community about the security model of browser-based wallets and the relationship between custom domains, Internet Identity and canister-based applications. A recent discussion on the Internet Computer Developer Forum examined the trust assumptions surrounding OISY’s web domain and Internet Identity authentication. The discussion reflects community analysis and questions rather than an announced OISY security change.

With version 2.6, OISY is extending its wallet functionality across payments, tokenised assets and Internet Computer resources, while continuing to add features aimed at making digital asset management more accessible from a single interface.
