Onicai has outlined a 21 day roadmap leading to its planned SNS proposal submission on 29 August, setting out a series of community events, feedback periods and funding milestones before the proposal reaches the Network Nervous System voting stage.
The roadmap begins with the mAIner Sale, which ran from 8 to 9 August, offering 10 new mAIners through a 48 hour reverse auction. The project said 90 per cent of each purchase price would be allocated to the mAIner’s cycle balance, while a Bonus Cycles campaign began immediately and will continue until 28 August.
The bonus programme uses a declining schedule of additional cycle allocations, with the highest rewards available to earlier participants.
The next scheduled milestone is the funnAI Bonfire on 10 August, which the team describes as the beginning of the next phase of the roadmap while the Bonus Cycles campaign remains active through to the end of the month.
Community consultation is scheduled to begin on 14 August, when the proposed SNS parameters will be published in the onicai OpenChat community forum. The feedback period is intended to give community members an opportunity to review the proposal, discuss the parameters and provide input before the submission process continues.
A second consultation period is planned for 21 August, when the SNS parameters and a formal announcement are expected to be published on the DFINITY forum for broader ICP community feedback.
The final milestone in the current roadmap is the planned SNS proposal submission on 29 August. If submitted, the proposal would enter the NNS voting process, which determines whether the SNS launch can proceed.
onicai noted that the SNS launch is not automatic and remains dependent on approval through the NNS vote and the subsequent SNS sale process.
The roadmap comes about 14 months after the launch of the onicai funnAI Protocol and sets out the project’s intended path towards community governance. The timeline reflects a phased approach, with fundraising, community consultation and governance review scheduled before any formal transition to an SNS structure.
