Onicai SNS proposal goes live on ICP governance

A proposal to move onicai towards decentralised governance through an SNS is now live on the Internet Computer’s Network Nervous System (NNS), giving the community an opportunity to vote on the next stage of the project.
The proposal, numbered 144229, is open for a four-day voting period, according to the announcement from onicai.
The move towards an SNS, or Service Nervous System, is designed to place control of a decentralised application with community governance rather than leaving key decisions with a central development team.
For onicai, the proposal marks a move towards greater community participation in how the project is governed and developed.
The NNS is the governance system used by the Internet Computer network, where participants can vote on proposals affecting the ecosystem and individual projects.
The proposal is being presented by onicai as a key stage in its broader effort to decentralise the project. The outcome will depend on the governance vote and the participation of the Internet Computer community.
The project has also highlighted a 20 per cent bonus in cycles for users topping up through mAIner, which remains available alongside the governance campaign.
With the vote now underway, attention will turn to the community’s response and whether the proposal receives enough support to move onicai towards SNS-based governance.
