Polygig has launched a new job board and freelance marketplace on the Internet Computer, offering a platform where workers receive their full payout without the platform taking a percentage-based cut.
The platform allows users to browse jobs, hire workers and run competitions, with payments made in ckUSDC. According to the launch announcement, employers pay a flat listing fee of 10 ckUSDC to post a job, while the remaining payment goes directly to the worker.
Polygig combines job listings with freelance marketplace features, giving employers different ways to find and engage workers. The platform also incorporates SEO features aimed at helping job and freelance opportunities gain visibility.
The payment model is one of the platform’s main points of differentiation. Rather than deducting a percentage from a worker’s earnings, Polygig says it charges the employer a fixed 10 ckUSDC fee for listing a job.
The platform is built on the Internet Computer, the blockchain network developed by the DFINITY Foundation, and uses ckUSDC for its payment system.
Polygig is now live, with users able to browse available opportunities, post jobs, hire workers or organise competitions through the platform.
The launch announcement did not provide further details on the number of jobs currently available, the size of its initial user base or plans for additional payment options.
Users can access the platform at Polygig.
