Sneed Lock adds liquidity management features and on-chain event tracking

By Maria Irene · 13 Oct 2026

Sneed DAO has introduced several updates to Sneed Lock, its permissionless time-locking service for tokens and ICPSwap liquidity positions, including the ability to add liquidity to locked positions, improved reward withdrawals and a public event log for greater transparency.

Available through Sneed Hub and Sneed Wallet, Sneed Lock allows users to lock tokens and liquidity provider (LP) positions for a specified period. The latest changes aim to simplify the process for users while improving the way locked assets and rewards are managed.

One of the updates allows users to add more liquidity to an LP position while it remains locked in Sneed Lock custody. Additional liquidity must follow the same proportions and ranges as the existing position, according to the announcement.

Users can also withdraw rewards earned by a locked LP position without withdrawing the underlying liquidity itself. Although reward withdrawals were already supported, Sneed DAO says the process has been improved through a new API developed by ICPSwap.

Previously, withdrawn rewards belonging to different users could potentially be mixed within the Sneed Lock custody canister, requiring additional code to track balances and provide recovery options if problems arose. The new ICPSwap API is designed to prevent funds from being mixed at any stage, allowing Sneed DAO to remove about 1,000 lines of code and eliminate scenarios in which the DAO might need to intervene to recover funds.

Sneed DAO credited ICPSwap’s development team for implementing the API, noting that rolling out such a change required upgrades across the platform’s hundreds of swap canisters.

The update also introduces an ICRC3 event log covering Sneed Lock activity. The log is intended to allow anyone to verify events recorded by the service. Alongside it, Sneed DAO has launched an ICRC3 browser tool that can be used to inspect events across ICRC3 canisters, rather than being limited to Sneed Lock.

The locking wizard has also been redesigned to guide users through the process from the beginning. Previously, it assumed users had already transferred their ICPSwap liquidity positions to their Sneed Hub Wallet. The revised version explains how to get an LP position into the wallet before proceeding with the lock, where necessary.

For developers and other integrators, Sneed DAO has published API documentation through its Sneed Help section. The documentation is intended to support integrations that could allow users to lock tokens or LP positions directly through decentralised applications and wallets. It is provided in formats designed for both human readers and AI tools.

Sneed Lock has also passed $10,000 in total value locked (TVL), according to Sneed DAO. The project attributed much of the milestone to a DAMONIC/ICP liquidity position locked for one year and said it hopes other projects will use the service to demonstrate confidence in their tokens and provide greater stability for traders.

The updates expand the tools available to Sneed Lock users, although the announcement does not provide independent figures on adoption, usage or the impact of the changes on liquidity and trading activity.
