Subhub brings wallet-native messaging to the centre of Web3 communication

Web3 applications often struggle to retain users beyond a single interaction. Wallets remain difficult to use, communication is scattered across platforms, and after a transaction or vote, most users disappear. Subhub is one project aiming to change that, quietly building a wallet-native messaging layer that is beginning to show results.

Unlike traditional email tools adapted for blockchain audiences, Subhub is built specifically for wallet-connected communication. The system allows projects to message users directly in their wallet-linked inbox, with options to include token rewards, gated content, or governance proposals. Messages are segmented using real-time on-chain data and engagement history, so updates are targeted rather than generic.

As of now, Subhub is working with more than 540 projects across sectors including DeFi, NFTs, gaming, and infrastructure. The platform sees 4.3 million monthly active users and over 10 million wallet subscribers across its campaigns. More than 55 million messages have been sent through its system, with an average open rate of over 40 per cent. These numbers are well above what most Web2 platforms would expect, especially in a space where inactive or disposable wallets are common.

The model relies on simplicity and relevance. Users receive messages only from projects they’ve interacted with. There’s no need to check external platforms or navigate through feeds. Each message is tied to something actionable, and users remain in control of what they receive.

From the project side, campaign performance is trackable in real time. This includes who opened a message, clicked a link, or redeemed a reward. That kind of feedback loop is helping teams shape better communication strategies and refine what they offer. It also opens a path to monetisation. Subhub is planning to launch its own token, $SUBHUB, which will support advanced campaign features, tiered access, and paid visibility boosts.

More tools are expected to roll out soon. These include advanced targeting capabilities, an on-chain analytics dashboard with conversion data, and broader integrations across blockchains. The idea is to build what the team refers to as “attention infrastructure” – putting reliable communication at the core of Web3 user experience.

As many projects still rely on social posts and announcements that often fail to reach their audiences, Subhub is offering an alternative that fits the way people already use Web3. With usage figures on the rise and monetisation plans taking shape, it’s positioned as one of the few platforms focused on keeping users engaged long after the first interaction.
