Caffeine AI Users Build More Games, Livestream Tools in Hours

Day 8 of the Caffeine AI alpha roll-out is in, and once again, users on the Internet Computer are making a strong case for speed-built software. What started as a tool for developers has rapidly evolved into a creation space for almost anyone with an idea and a little persistence. This isn’t no-code; it’s not low-code either. It’s something else entirely — where AI handles much of the logic, and human creativity shapes the outcome. The result? A new batch of fully working dapps, built with surprising variety.

The standout today is Show Me Your Papers, a border control-themed game built by @AlphaWarden_. Players step into the shoes of a checkpoint officer, interviewing characters and making snap decisions on whether to let them through or not. The mechanics are simple: dialogue boxes, document checks, a ticking timer. But what makes it interesting isn’t just the gameplay — it’s the story behind the build. AlphaWarden has no formal programming background and had never launched anything on-chain before this. He started the day with a prompt and ended it four hours later with a playable game.

Caffeine’s interface made it easier. The system allows users to describe what they want in natural language, receive working code in return, and iterate through dialogue. AlphaWarden was able to test early versions, spot logic gaps, and go back with updated instructions. He credits the rollback function — which lets creators revert to earlier builds — for giving him the freedom to experiment without fear of breaking everything. It’s not perfect yet. There are bugs. But the experience was smooth enough that he’s already planning a follow-up release.

Another consistent contributor to Caffeine’s story is @JasonMugg, who’s quietly turning the platform into his personal design playground. Known for his work on World 8, Mugg has launched multiple small tools over the past week. One of them, World 8 Club House, is an on-chain fan hub that mimics Patreon — complete with access walls, media slots and user engagement features. It’s meant to serve his community but can also be forked by anyone wanting to run a similar space.

He’s also behind Muggzies MEME Machine, a dead-simple meme generator that combines images with text inputs and lets users mint the results. Another game, Zombie Apocalypse Now, lets players move between locations and battle waves of zombie attackers in a pixelated city map. What’s clear from Mugg’s output is that none of these projects aim for flash. They’re small, direct, and surprisingly functional. He’s using Caffeine like a sketchpad — starting from simple prompts and working outward.

The pace of experimentation isn’t limited to games and memes. @ICPDeGenX, who’s been building within the ecosystem for a while now, launched W3Live, a livestreaming platform built with Caffeine AI and submitted as part of the SF Caffeine Hackathon. W3Live allows users to host live or simulated events, add their own stream URLs, and invite viewers with shareable links. Additional features like comment feeds, creator dashboards, and proof-of-attendance tokens are on the roadmap. What makes W3Live worth noting is how it’s already being used: one stream is dedicated to Meta Owl, an Internet Computer-based radio station known for its genre-agnostic music programming. That integration happened fast — likely within the same build session.

DeGenX says the Caffeine workflow worked well for this use case. The backend logic came together with a combination of prompt crafting and manual editing, while the frontend was styled through trial and error. He mentioned that working with Caffeine feels like co-authoring a script with a responsive assistant. Sometimes the results are on point; other times it takes three or four passes. But the total build time was measured in hours, not days. That’s the part that keeps surprising people.

Also featured on Day 8 is SureCast, a forecast-based market tool created by @ICP_insider, with a focus on Nigeria. The app allows users to make predictions about asset prices — particularly ICP — and will soon expand to include wrapped Bitcoin (ckBTC), wrapped Tether (ckUSDT), and eventually a naira-pegged token. The aim is to allow users in West Africa to access low-cost, low-friction prediction tools without needing a centralised platform or high transaction fees.

Insider says the decision to build on Caffeine was largely about time. He had been exploring other front-end options, but once he saw the early builds coming out of Caffeine, he decided to try generating the base logic through prompts. Within two sessions, the first version of SureCast was up and running. A third session was used to improve user flow and reduce clutter. Now the app has a working input field, a clean prediction layout, and the beginnings of a token pool integration. More features are planned, but it’s already usable — and that was the point.

All of this points to a larger shift in how people think about app creation. Day 8 shows that Caffeine is enabling fast, functional tools — but just as importantly, it’s changing the entry point. You don’t need a full stack team to launch something small anymore. A decent idea, a focused prompt, and a few hours can be enough to go live.

To be clear, these aren’t final products. Many of the apps are still rough. Bugs show up. Designs are inconsistent. But that’s part of the experiment. The Caffeine team has built something that doesn’t penalise you for testing early. You can roll back. You can fork other apps. You can ask the assistant to refactor a section of logic without having to rewrite it yourself. It’s all designed for iteration — and that shows in the growing variety of use cases.

One day it’s a meme tool. The next it’s a forecasting app, a livestream hub, or a border patrol simulator. The speed is the standout feature, but what’s quietly happening is a shift in participation. People who’ve never launched anything on-chain are now doing so within hours. They’re learning to refine their prompts. They’re testing concepts. Some are even building tools for others to use.

The Internet Computer has always promised full-stack decentralisation. What Caffeine adds is a way to actually use that stack without needing weeks of onboarding. And for now, the focus remains clear: keep the doors open, keep the tools fast, and let users figure out what they want to build.
