Diode Launches “1,000 Canister Zone Challenge” for ICP Community

Diode has begun 2026 with the “1,000 Canister Zone Challenge”, celebrating more than 1,000 active Diode Collab Zones on the Internet Computer. The initiative invites developers to create, register, and showcase their Zones, offering rewards for the most innovative and active submissions.

The challenge runs from 5 February to 7 March 2026. Participants are encouraged to register their Zones through the Diode Referral Program and submit proof of their work via X or the Diode Telegram channel using the hashtag #UseDiode. The event is designed to help developers take ownership of their data while exploring the capabilities of the ICP network, fostering creativity and collaboration.

To register a Zone, users first download Diode Collab, set up an account, and create their Zone. The Zone ID can be found in the application under “Zone Identification”. Once obtained, participants submit it to the Registrar Bot in the Diode Referral Zone, which provides step-by-step guidance and prompts to ensure registration is straightforward.

The challenge reflects the growing momentum within the Diode ecosystem and the wider ICP community. By offering rewards, the initiative encourages developers to experiment with new applications and features, highlighting the flexibility and scalability of ICP canisters. It also provides a tangible incentive for participation, helping to drive engagement and activity across the network.

Beyond competition, the challenge offers a learning opportunity. Developers can test features, optimise workflows, and refine their technical skills while connecting with other creators. The structure of the event encourages both individual and collaborative efforts, allowing participants to share knowledge and gain visibility within the community.

Winners will be announced on 7 March 2026, offering recognition and potential further opportunities within the ecosystem. For developers and creators looking to explore Diode Collab or expand their presence on the Internet Computer, the “1,000 Canister Zone Challenge” provides a platform to innovate, showcase their work, and contribute to a growing network of applications.
