Oisy rolls out v1.8.4 update with fixes to QR codes, signer popup and swap handling

Oisy has released version 1.8.4 of its wallet app, introducing a set of practical fixes aimed at improving reliability across everyday use. The update focuses on areas that users interact with frequently, reflecting feedback around QR behaviour, signer stability and swap clarity.

One of the key issues addressed is QR codes failing to appear on the first load. This has been a recurring frustration for users trying to receive funds quickly, and the fix is expected to streamline that part of the experience. The Oisy Signer has also been adjusted so its popup no longer closes automatically after a few seconds. Users had noted that the short timeout created friction, especially when reviewing transactions or switching between windows.

Another fix targets swap failures caused by slippage being handled incorrectly. With more activity moving through decentralised swaps, ensuring that transactions settle as expected has become increasingly important. Oisy says the correction should prevent transactions from failing prematurely.

Alongside these changes, ICPSwap swaps within the app now show the net amount users receive rather than the gross figure. This small adjustment gives people a clearer understanding of what arrives after fees and adjustments, supporting more transparent decision-making.

The update is modest in scale but touches several user-facing frustrations. By addressing issues that directly affect transaction flow, Oisy appears focused on smoothing out the finer details of the experience while preparing for future feature releases.
