During the Beneficial AGI Summit in Panama on Feb. 27, SingularityNET’s visionary Ben Goertzel unveiled his roadmap for the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), projecting an early prototype framework to potentially be operational as soon as next year.

In response to inquiries regarding the Alpha’s significance in AGI’s evolutionary trajectory, Goertzel elucidated the roadmap’s trajectory. He described the Alpha as laying the groundwork for a “baby AGI,” emphasizing the need for substantial scalability to propel AGI development forward.
“We will have a complete toolset for building the baby AGI,” Goertzel affirmed. He expressed confidence in scaling the system exponentially by year-end, envisioning the emergence of a “fetal AGI” by early 2025, poised to redefine the landscape of AI innovation.
