A developer named AmSpeed has created a free app using Caffeine AI that helps San Francisco drivers steer clear of parking tickets. The app combines recent and historical parking data to generate 3D heat maps showing where fines are most likely to occur.
AmSpeed said the project was inspired by developer Riley Walz, who revealed on X that he had reverse engineered San Francisco’s parking ticket system and could see tickets moments after they were written. Walz described his own project by saying, “I reverse engineered the San Francisco parking ticket system. I can see every ticket seconds after it’s written. So I made a website. Find My Friends? AVOID THE PARKING COPS.”
When asked about the cost to build the app, AmSpeed said it cost nothing. Caffeine.ai gives new users 110 free credits after verifying their email, enough to build one or two apps depending on prompt skill. The platform allows creators to turn text prompts into functional applications that run on the Internet Computer (ICP).
AmSpeed’s parking tool is part of a wave of experimental projects emerging from the Caffeine community, where builders are exploring how AI and on-chain technology can make everyday problems more manageable — or at least, less costly.
Dear Reader,
Ledger Life is an independent platform dedicated to covering the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem and beyond. We focus on real stories, builder updates, project launches, and the quiet innovations that often get missed.
We’re not backed by sponsors. We rely on readers like you.
If you find value in what we publish—whether it’s deep dives into dApps, explainers on decentralised tech, or just keeping track of what’s moving in Web3—please consider making a donation. It helps us cover costs, stay consistent, and remain truly independent.
Your support goes a long way.
