Caffeine launches holiday game challenge with prizes for top creators

Caffeine has launched a time-limited Holiday Game Challenge, calling on builders to create and publish a live, holiday-themed game using its platform over the coming days.

The submission window opened on 15 December and runs through to 17 December, closing at 11.59 pm EST. Participants are invited to design a game of their choice, with organisers encouraging creativity rather than prescribing a specific format or genre. Entries must be live, complete and functional at the time they are reviewed.

To take part, creators need to submit their entry via an online Typeform and comment on the challenge post with a direct link to the game they have built using Caffeine. Each participant is restricted to one submission, a rule designed to keep the judging process focused and give all entrants a fair shot.

Prizes will be awarded in Caffeine credits, with 400 credits for first place, 250 credits for second and 150 credits for third. While the rewards are modest, the challenge is positioned as an opportunity for builders to experiment publicly, test ideas quickly and gain visibility within the community.

The initiative reflects Caffeine’s growing emphasis on prompt-driven creation, where users can move from concept to working application in a short space of time. By framing the challenge around games and a seasonal theme, the platform is leaning into formats that are easy to understand, share and play, even for those encountering Caffeine-built apps for the first time.

Short challenges like this have become a common way for developer platforms to spark engagement, particularly during quieter periods of the year. They lower the barrier to entry, encourage rapid prototyping and often surface unexpected uses of the underlying tools.

Winners will be announced on Friday, 19 December at 12.00 pm EST. Full rules, submission details and the entry form are available via Caffeine’s official challenge page.
