Block. One to launch social media platform “Voice” in July

EOSIO software developer Block. One is preparing to launch its new crypto-powered social media platform “Voice” next month. According to tweets by Voice CEO Salah Zalatimo, the social media platform is looking at a 4 July launch.

Zalatimo claims the underlying blockchain technology was built to scale over the past year, with an original reveal planned for Fall 2020.

Zalatimo says recent global events have increased the need for a decentralized social media platform.

The beta version, which launched in February, allows users access to a social media platform that emphasizes human interaction while attempting to reduce spam and fake accounts. Voice also uses a native utility token to reward users for creating content.
