A post by Sui highlighting new Web3 projects sparked some confusion this week after listing Caffeine AI among its ecosystem builders. While the inclusion drew attention from both Sui and Internet Computer (ICP) communities, Dominic Williams, founder and chief scientist at DFINITY, stepped in to clarify the situation.
Williams explained that Caffeine AI is built entirely on the Internet Computer, where its users create decentralised apps through natural language chat. However, he added that ICP’s technology is inherently multi-chain, designed to connect with other ecosystems like Sui. This interoperability allows developers to build Web3 applications that can trustlessly integrate Sui tokens and features, without leaving the ICP framework.
The clarification comes at a time when cross-chain functionality is becoming a key focus for decentralised platforms. While Caffeine AI remains a product of the Internet Computer ecosystem, its ability to interact with networks such as Sui highlights how blockchain boundaries are starting to fade — not through marketing claims, but through working integrations that make multiple networks part of one user experience.
Dear Reader,
Ledger Life is an independent platform dedicated to covering the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem and beyond. We focus on real stories, builder updates, project launches, and the quiet innovations that often get missed.
We’re not backed by sponsors. We rely on readers like you.
If you find value in what we publish—whether it’s deep dives into dApps, explainers on decentralised tech, or just keeping track of what’s moving in Web3—please consider making a donation. It helps us cover costs, stay consistent, and remain truly independent.
Your support goes a long way.
