The first day of the highly anticipated Avalanche Summit has begun in Barcelona, bringing together over 300 speakers, 125 panel sessions, and more than 4,000 attendees from around the world. As an annual conference, the event attracts a diverse group of individuals who are developing and utilizing decentralized technology on Avalanche and beyond.
Though some, like myself, are unable to attend in person, the excitement and enthusiasm can be felt even from a distance. The Summit promises to be a memorable event, showcasing the latest Avalanche platform updates, groundbreaking innovations, and fostering connections among like-minded creators dedicated to shaping the future of Web3.
Notable speakers at this year’s summit include Emin Gün Sirer, Founder and CEO of Ava Labs; Isabella Chase, Senior Policy Advisor at TRM Labs; Jeff Hasselman, AWS Global Head Web3 at Amazon; Anett Rolikova, Developer Relations at Hyperlane; Bryan Pellegrino, CEO & Co-Founder of LayerZero Labs; and many more. These experts represent a wide range of industries, all with a shared passion for decentralized technology and the Avalanche platform.
Key announcements on the first day featured a notable collaboration between Kaleido and Avalanche, which aims to bring high-performance web3 solutions to the Blockchain Business Cloud and accelerate adoption across various sectors. Another significant development was MELD’s plan to launch its suite of financial and web3 products as an Avalanche Subnet, striving to bridge the gap between crypto and traditional finance.
For those unable to attend in person, event organizers have made it possible to catch all the incredible speakers, panels, and workshops through a dedicated livestream. By registering for the livestream, interested individuals can view the full 3-day agenda and tune in to any of the five stages on the event’s official website.
As the first day of the Avalanche Summit comes to an end, anticipation continues to build for the remaining days. With more announcements, collaborations, and insights expected, the event promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Although I could not be there in person, I send my best wishes to all attendees and look forward to the innovative developments that will arise from this extraordinary gathering of the Avax community.
