Omnity Hub has rolled out a series of updates aimed at improving cross-chain performance and user experience across its platform. The announcement includes a switch to the official Solana RPC canister from the Dfinity Foundation, replacing Omnity’s own RPC setup in a move designed to boost reliability and execution speed for users bridging assets through the Internet Computer.
The platform also confirmed that Dogecoin bridged to the Osmosis network via Omnity Hub now automatically converts to DOGE Alloy. The update is designed to streamline asset handling and remove extra steps for users, with conversions now taking place instantly during the bridging process.
As of 15 July, Omnity Hub reported a total value locked (TVL) of more than $102 million. The figure reflects growing usage of the platform as more users and developers look for ways to interact with multiple chains through a unified interface.
Omnity’s bridging infrastructure continues to focus on connecting Internet Computer-native applications with broader crypto ecosystems like Solana, Osmosis, and Bitcoin. The updates come amid increased attention on decentralised bridges and the risks and bottlenecks associated with them. By integrating with official tooling from core protocols like Solana, Omnity appears to be prioritising long-term stability and institutional-grade reliability.
DOGE Alloy, the bridged version of Dogecoin introduced by Omnity earlier this year, is gaining traction as a way to move DOGE into DeFi environments where it can be used more actively. The automatic conversion feature is expected to make it easier for casual users to engage without having to navigate multiple steps or tools.
The platform says more updates are planned, as it continues refining both the technical infrastructure and cross-chain asset logic behind the scenes.
