ApexCalc launches with more than 11,000 calculators built entirely using Caffeine AI on ICP

A new online calculator platform, ApexCalc, has launched with more than 11,000 calculators covering over 50 disciplines, with its creator, Caffeine Buildoor (@ICPvibecoder), saying the entire application was developed using Caffeine AI on the Internet Computer (ICP) blockchain.

Available at ApexCalc.net, the platform brings together calculators for engineering, finance, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, physics and a wide range of everyday tasks. It also includes more than 150 educational resources designed to help users understand the calculations behind the results.

The developers describe ApexCalc as one of the largest calculator platforms currently available, aiming to provide a single destination for users who would otherwise need to search across multiple websites for specialist tools.

One of the project’s main talking points is how it was built. According to the development team, every line of code was generated using Caffeine AI, an AI-powered development platform within the Internet Computer ecosystem. They say this allowed the product to be completed in a fraction of the time that a conventional software development process might have required.

The launch offers another example of how AI-assisted software development is being used to speed up the creation of large-scale applications. AI coding tools have become increasingly common across the technology industry, helping developers generate code, automate repetitive tasks and prototype applications more quickly. While these tools can reduce development time, they still require testing, validation and ongoing maintenance to ensure reliability and accuracy.

For the Internet Computer community, ApexCalc also serves as a showcase for applications built using Caffeine AI. The project demonstrates that AI-generated code can be applied beyond simple prototypes, extending to consumer-facing products with thousands of individual features.

The platform’s creators are encouraging users to test its breadth by searching for calculations they may have expected to be missing. Given the size of its catalogue, the goal appears to be offering an extensive library of calculation tools through a single interface rather than requiring users to move between multiple specialised websites.

As AI-assisted development continues to mature, projects such as ApexCalc are likely to attract attention for both the scale of their functionality and the methods used to build them. Whether AI-generated applications can consistently match the quality, accuracy and maintainability of traditionally developed software will remain an area watched closely by developers and users alike.

Dear Reader,

Ledger Life is an independent platform dedicated to covering the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem and beyond. We focus on real stories, builder updates, project launches, and the quiet innovations that often get missed.

We’re not backed by sponsors. We rely on readers like you.

If you find value in what we publish—whether it’s deep dives into dApps, explainers on decentralised tech, or just keeping track of what’s moving in Web3—please consider making a donation. It helps us cover costs, stay consistent, and remain truly independent.

Your support goes a long way.
