Cloudly Aims to Cut Platform Fees with Web3 Creator Tool

A new project shared by Paul is positioning itself as an alternative to traditional creator platforms, with a focus on direct payments and lower costs for users.

The tool, called Cloudly, is being built using CaffeineAI and is designed to function as a Web3 version of link-in-bio and membership platforms. The concept allows creators to connect their social profiles, showcase projects built on the Internet Computer Protocol, and receive payments directly in digital assets such as Bitcoin and ICP.

According to details shared so far, the platform aims to remove intermediary fees that are common across established services. Platforms such as Patreon, Substack and Ko-fi typically take a percentage of creator earnings, with fees varying depending on the service and plan. Cloudly is being positioned as a fee-free alternative, with transactions handled directly on-chain.

The idea reflects a wider push within the Web3 space to give creators greater control over their income and audience relationships. By using blockchain-based payments, projects like Cloudly aim to reduce reliance on centralised platforms and their pricing structures. Supporters of this model argue it can provide more transparency and faster settlement, while critics often point to usability challenges and the volatility of digital assets.

At this stage, Cloudly remains in development, with a launch expected soon. Details around user experience, security measures and long-term sustainability are yet to be fully outlined, which will likely shape how the platform is received once it becomes publicly available.

The project adds to a growing list of tools attempting to rethink how creators manage links, content and revenue in a decentralised environment, where the balance between control, accessibility and trust continues to evolve.
