Dvinity Lottery is set to return on 1 January 2026 with a major redesign that goes beyond a simple update, while retaining its core feature of a single on-chain winner. The relaunch introduces new governance structures, reward systems and community-driven mechanics that aim to increase participation and engagement, giving players more influence over how the protocol operates.
At the centre of the update is the introduction of DAO governance. This allows participants to propose and launch weekly lotteries, determine ticket pricing at the protocol level, and adjust key economic parameters. By giving the community decision-making powers, the lottery shifts from a static product to a system shaped by its users, creating opportunities for more transparent and responsive governance.
Staking has been fully integrated into the lottery system. Three percent of every lottery pot will be distributed to Dvinity token stakers, creating a continuous incentive for holding and participating in the ecosystem. This approach transforms the token from a simple utility to a value-accruing asset, providing additional reasons for the community to engage with the protocol.
The fee model has also been overhauled. The previous development and team tax has been removed and replaced with a flat five percent fee on lottery pots. Of this, three percent goes to stakers, 1–1.9 percent to the Dvinity treasury, one percent to the lottery creator, and 0.1 percent is allocated to a weekly free-ticket pot. Ninety-five percent of each pot is awarded directly to the winner, ensuring the majority of funds always go to participants.
Daily lotteries will run autonomously on-chain, while weekly lotteries will draw and automatically restart every Sunday at 15:00 UTC, requiring no manual intervention. The system supports multiple wallet options, including Plug and Internet Identity, and all interactions remain direct with on-chain contracts without custodial layers, enhancing transparency and security.
The relaunch replaces the original launchpad-style design and reflects a focus on long-term sustainability, staking incentives, and community governance. Ticket purchase limits have been raised from 25,000 to one million per transaction, with the potential for further adjustments following beta testing.
The changes position Dvinity Lottery as a more mature and user-focused on-chain protocol, offering a blend of gaming, governance and staking rewards. By integrating community decision-making and token-based incentives, the platform aims to create a more dynamic and participatory lottery experience, while keeping operations fully transparent and verifiable on the blockchain.
