Dvinity rolls out profile layer and tests new game features

Dvinity has introduced a new profile layer while testing several gaming features, including community cards and its first slot machine.
The profile layer is now live and allows users to set a custom name and profile picture, track lottery entries and scratchcards, and take part in in-game chat.
According to Dvinity, the update is aimed at making the platform feel more connected and easier to navigate for returning users. By adding personal profiles and activity tracking, the platform is moving closer to a more social gaming experience.
Community cards and the platform’s first slot machine are currently in testing. Dvinity has not yet provided a timeline for a full release, though it is encouraging users to test the new features and report any bugs.
The addition of profile customisation and chat tools reflects a wider trend across blockchain gaming platforms, where projects are increasingly focusing on community features rather than simple transaction-based experiences.
Gaming projects tied to the Internet Computer ecosystem have been working to keep users engaged through new formats such as lotteries, scratchcards and multiplayer elements. Features like chat, profile names and game tracking can help create a stronger sense of participation, particularly for users who return regularly.
At the same time, testing phases can present challenges. New gaming features often need repeated updates to address bugs, balance gameplay and manage user activity. Community feedback is likely to play a large role in how Dvinity shapes the final versions of its slot machine and community cards features.
For now, the profile layer appears to be the main live feature, while the new gaming tools remain in development. Dvinity says this is only the beginning of further changes planned for the platform.
