New social activity data places Internet Computer at the top of the DePIN conversation, highlighting how infrastructure-focused crypto projects are competing for mindshare as much as technology. The ranking, compiled by CryptoDep using LunarCrush data and dated 29 December 2025, compares DePIN projects based on posts, interactions and social dominance across platforms.
According to the data, ICP recorded around 2.74 thousand posts and roughly 241 thousand interactions, giving it a social dominance of 0.40 percent. That places it well ahead of the rest of the field in terms of overall visibility, suggesting sustained discussion rather than short bursts of attention.
Render and Filecoin follow at a distance, each posting just over or under one thousand social posts. Both recorded interactions above the 100 thousand mark, with social dominance measured at 0.15 percent. Their positioning reflects steady interest tied to their roles in decentralised compute and storage, areas that continue to attract builders and investors even during quieter market phases.
Projects such as Boundless, Aethir, Siacoin and Arweave form a closely packed middle group. Post counts across these networks range from the high hundreds down to around seven hundred, with interactions clustering between roughly 68 thousand and 83 thousand. Social dominance for each sits at around 0.10 percent, indicating comparable levels of attention despite differences in use cases and maturity.
Further down the ranking, Storj, Mysterium and ANyOne show lower post volumes but still maintain meaningful engagement. Mysterium, for example, stands out with a relatively high interaction count compared with its number of posts, which may point to a more concentrated or responsive audience rather than broad visibility. All three record social dominance of around 0.05 percent.
The data does not offer insight into sentiment, nor does it distinguish between developer discussion, investor commentary or general community chatter. As a result, high activity should not be read as a direct indicator of adoption or usage. Social metrics can be influenced by announcements, campaigns or short-term narratives that do not always translate into long-term outcomes.
Even so, the ranking provides a snapshot of where attention is currently focused within the DePIN sector. ICP’s clear lead suggests that it remains a central reference point in discussions around decentralised infrastructure, while the rest of the list reflects a competitive field where storage, compute and networking projects continue to vie for relevance.
As DePIN narratives evolve, shifts in these metrics may offer early clues about changing interests or emerging themes, though they remain only one lens through which to view progress across the sector.
