ICPanda has announced that One Bridge is back online after its team addressed an issue that had been causing higher cycle consumption on the service.
According to the project, the bridge is now operating normally following changes to how it handles HTTPS outcall response budgets and finality checks. The team said it bounded HTTPS outcall response budgets and introduced tiered finality polling to reduce unnecessary resource consumption.
The changes are intended to make the canister operate more efficiently and reduce its running costs. ICPanda said users can now use One Bridge to bridge PANDA tokens again.
The project has directed users to the One Bridge platform at 1bridge.app and published the relevant code changes through its GitHub repository.
The update highlights an ongoing challenge for applications running on decentralised infrastructure, where inefficient processing can increase computational costs. Managing resource consumption is particularly important for services that rely on external data requests and repeated polling.
ICPanda’s announcement indicates that the latest changes are aimed at addressing that issue at the canister level. The service’s longer-term performance and cost profile will depend on how it operates under normal user activity following the update.
