Querio Secures Dfinity Grant to Build AI Governance Tools on ICP

Querio has landed a grant from the Dfinity Foundation, with plans to develop AI-driven tools focused on security and governance for the Internet Computer ecosystem. The project aims to combine automated analysis with user-friendly reporting, giving developers and the wider community more visibility over proposals and code changes affecting the network.

At the heart of Querio’s plan is an AI agent designed to review proposals submitted to the Network Nervous System (NNS), the Internet Computer’s governance system. The AI will assess proposals, audit linked code changes, and produce on-chain reports. These reports will be accessible to the community, offering a layer of transparency around updates and decisions.

Querio also plans to integrate notifications through OpenChat, allowing users to stay informed in real time when proposals are reviewed or when reports are published. By tapping into OpenChat, Querio keeps updates within the ICP ecosystem, avoiding the need for external platforms or channels.

The grant puts Querio among a group of projects backed by Dfinity that are aiming to bring advanced AI applications to ICP. While much of the focus in AI has centred on content generation or automation, Querio’s approach leans towards oversight and governance — areas that are increasingly in the spotlight as blockchain platforms mature.

Querio says its tools will focus on maintaining security and privacy, as well as improving access to information. The project is positioning itself at the point where AI, decentralised governance, and community engagement meet, offering automated tools that still leave the final say with the network’s participants.

By combining auditing, reporting, and direct notifications, Querio hopes to make governance on the Internet Computer easier to follow and more transparent for both developers and token holders. The project adds to the growing list of AI experiments within the ICP ecosystem, where the use of AI agents in decentralised settings is still a work in progress.

Dear Reader,

Ledger Life is an independent platform dedicated to covering the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem and beyond. We focus on real stories, builder updates, project launches, and the quiet innovations that often get missed.

We’re not backed by sponsors. We rely on readers like you.

If you find value in what we publish—whether it’s deep dives into dApps, explainers on decentralised tech, or just keeping track of what’s moving in Web3—please consider making a donation. It helps us cover costs, stay consistent, and remain truly independent.

Your support goes a long way.
