ApexCalc launches with more than 11,000 calculators built entirely using Caffeine AI on ICP

A new online calculator platform, ApexCalc, has launched with more than 11,000 calculators covering over 50 disciplines, with its creator, Caffeine Buildoor (@ICPvibecoder), saying the entire application was developed using Caffeine AI on the Internet Computer (ICP) blockchain.

Available at ApexCalc.net, the platform brings together calculators for engineering, finance, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, physics and a wide range of everyday tasks. It also includes more than 150 educational resources designed to help users understand the calculations behind the results.

The developers describe ApexCalc as one of the largest calculator platforms currently available, aiming to provide a single destination for users who would otherwise need to search across multiple websites for specialist tools.

One of the project’s main talking points is how it was built. Internet Identity prepares MCP server to let AI agents act securely across apps

Internet Identity is preparing to expand how artificial intelligence agents interact with online applications through a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to keep users’ credentials out of the hands of AI systems while allowing them to carry out authorised tasks.

The feature, currently in preview, is intended to let AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Grok perform actions on behalf of users across applications connected through Internet Identity. Rather than storing passwords or private keys within an AI model, authentication is handled through an MCP server running in a trusted execution environment, with users retaining control over what actions are permitted.

Speaking in a demonstration of the technology, Arshavir Ter-Gabrielyan, Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, said the growing use of AI agents has exposed a challenge around identity and security.

“Agents typically operate in cloud sandboxes and do not have secure access to a user’s device,” he said. “They are not the right place to manage cryptographic keys.”

Instead, the MCP server acts as an intermediary that authenticates users, manages session keys and issues short-lived delegations that allow an AI agent to perform approved tasks within individual applications. The approach is designed to reduce the risks associated with giving AI systems unrestricted access to personal accounts.

During the demonstration, Ter-Gabrielyan used ChatGPT to create and edit a post on the decentralised social platform Taggr. After connecting through Internet Identity, the AI assistant successfully published a post and later updated it with current weather information, all without exposing the user’s authentication credentials.

According to the development team, the protocol follows an emerging industry standard that allows AI assistants from different providers to connect with external applications through the same framework. That means the system is intended to work with multiple AI platforms rather than being tied to a single provider.

The current preview includes tools that help AI agents discover applications, retrieve interface definitions, identify user accounts and make authenticated or anonymous calls to Internet Computer canisters. The developers also expect the system to support infrastructure management tasks such as deploying, upgrading and maintaining canisters through AI-assisted workflows.

One of the longer-term priorities is expanding the permission model. The team plans to introduce read-only delegations that would allow AI agents to retrieve information across applications without being able to modify data or approve transactions. Users would then grant additional permissions only when they want an agent to perform specific actions.

Support for trusted execution environments is also expected to become part of the hosted service. While technically inclined users can already run their own MCP server, the development team aims to offer managed instances that can be independently verified before wider public availability.

The project reflects a broader shift in how developers expect people to interact with software. Rather than opening individual websites and moving between multiple applications, users could increasingly ask AI assistants to complete tasks across connected services through a single conversation.

That vision, however, comes with ongoing questions around privacy, security and user consent. Mingle Berry Media launches web cloning tool that migrates live websites to ICP in minutes

Mingle Berry Media has launched a new tool that allows users to copy an existing public website and redeploy it to the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) with little more than a web address.

The feature, called the Clone Engine, is the third addition to the company’s Mingle Cloud Migrator platform. Users simply paste a website URL, after which the tool crawls publicly available pages and images before deploying the copied site to an ICP canister. Anthropic reportedly plans $15 billion push into Australian data centres

Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company led by chief executive Dario Amodei and best known for developing the Claude chatbot, is reportedly planning a major expansion in Australia, with a proposal to secure up to 1.4 gigawatts of data centre capacity by mid 2027 in a project that could cost as much as $15 billion.

According to reports, the US based AI company is seeking to secure as much Australian data centre capacity as can be delivered within the next year, reflecting the growing demand for computing infrastructure needed to train and operate advanced artificial intelligence models.

Odin Launches Two-Factor Authentication Features to Strengthen Account Security

Odin has introduced new security measures for users of its platform, adding two-factor authentication (2FA), passkey support and account locking options designed to provide greater protection for withdrawals, transfers and other sensitive actions.

The update allows users to enable an authenticator app using time-based one-time passwords (TOTP). Once activated, users will need to enter a verification code from apps such as Google Authenticator or Authy before completing withdrawals and transfers.

Menese Launches Pro Platform with Privacy Tools and Automated Multichain DeFi Strategies

WordPress site moves fully on chain using Internet Computer technology

A German WordPress website has been migrated to run entirely on the Internet Computer, offering a demonstration of how traditional websites can operate without relying on conventional cloud hosting or external servers.

The migration was completed by Mingle Berry Media using its Mingle Cloud Migrator, with the website for design agency Schlosshelden serving as the latest example of a fully on chain WordPress deployment.

According to the company, every part of the website, including its HTML, CSS, images and fonts, is now hosted from a single Internet Computer canister. The setup is designed to eliminate the need for traditional cloud providers or external content delivery services, with all assets served directly from the blockchain based infrastructure.

For now, the demonstration is available through the Internet Computer’s raw canister address, allowing developers and users to inspect network requests and verify how the site is being delivered. The project’s developers say the website’s primary domain will later be migrated to point to the on chain version.
